Fizz Swing Dance is dedicated to providing an environment and community that is fun, safe, and inclusive of all dancers regardless of age, gender identity, race, color, national origin, sexual orientation, religion, disability, and citizenship. Fizz does not tolerate harassment, hate speech or disenfranchisement of any person based on the color of their skin or other aspects of their identity. Fizz participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the event without a refund at the discretion of the Fizz organizers.
Harassment, hate speech or disenfranchisement can include but is not limited to: intentionally offensive verbal comments, deliberate intimidation, stalking, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcomed sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. We expect participants to follow these rules at Fizz. If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the event organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event with no refund. Egregious behavior or repeated warnings or expulsions may result in permanent expulsion from all events organized by Fizz Swing Dance. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the event staff immediately. If you are not sure who the Fizz staff is, you can let the person working the front entrance table know; they can point out one of the organizers or flag one down for you. Event staff will be happy to help participants contact local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the event. We value your attendance. Studio Aerials Policy Dancers at Fizz are responsible for their own safety and that of others nearby. Everyone is expected to practice safe floor-craft and apologize if accidental bumps occur. Aerials, lifts, floor spins, trust falls, partner dips where the head is below waist level, and other high-risk moves are not permitted at any Fizz Swing Dance event unless the event/performance has been explicitly defined by the Board, in advance, to permit aerials with proper safety precautions - and never on the social dance-floor inclusive of Jam circles. |
