A: Anything you feel comfortable dancing in! Come as casual or as fancy as you like. Jeans and t-shirts or your best vintage wear are all encouraged and welcomed. Those wearing dresses or skirts are strongly encouraged to wear shorts or dance spanks underneath. It's also strongly encouraged to bring extra shirts as Swing Dancing can be a very athletic activity. Shirt changes during the night encourages partners to feel comfortable throughout the evening.
Q: What kind of shoes should I bring?
A: Leather soles are recommended but flat shoes with a smooth sole work just as well. Heels with small and wide heels are also recommended. Avoid sandals, high heels, and rubber soles. Please also bring clean shoes to help keep the dance floor safe for everyone. It's common to attend Fizz with "street shoes" and change into clean dance shoes at the event.
Q: Do I need a partner?
A: Partners are not required! Swing dancing is a social dance where anyone can ask someone to dance throughout the evening. During the beginner friendly lesson partners are rotated to encourage dancing with different people during the evening.
Q: What is the age requirement to attend Fizz? A: Fizz Swing Dance is an 18+ event, 21+ for alcohol. If you do not have ID and the Fizz team and/or venue staff ask to see ID, you may be asked to leave for the evening and welcomed back with ID in the future.
Q: Can I bring my own water bottle? A: Yes. The Fizz venue has a water filter available on site.
Q: Can I bring my own food or drink to Fizz? A: Outside food and beverage is inside the Fizz venue but must be kept off the dance floor. BYO drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic are permitted.
Q: What does my admission at the Fizz venue go to? A: Your admission helps pays for Fizz Djs, Bands, instructors, and general operating costs.
